This work is inspired by the writing of English-Danish physicist Rodney Cotterill, who refers to the human brain as “the ultimate black box.” He argues that consciousness remains one of the central mysteries of science, for the matter of neural anatomy and physiology not entirely grasping what exactly produces consciousness.

The vast mystery of consciousness and the concept of embodiment prompt my practice of creating ambiguous weavings that resist singular interpretation and encapsulate the fluid nature of consciousness.
